Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program
This award is for accepted U.S. citizens in medical, nursing and health professions programs. Students receiving this award receive more than $17,000 annually for up to four years. AMBUCS Scholarship
U.S. citizens in financial need, in pursuits of completing the following programs: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology or Hearing Audiology. This educational award allows KUMC students to kick their debt and meet the needs of the surrounding communities. In exchange for completing ten to twelve months of full-time service with AmeriCorps, students earn an education award of $4,725 to help pay for college or pay back student loans. ASCLS Minority Scholarship
This award is for students entering an NAACLS accredited program in Clinical Laboratory Sciences to include Clinical Laboratory Sciences/ Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Technician Program. Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics - ASCP Scholarships
Students enrolled in a NAACLS (CLT/MLT) accredited program maintaining a 2.5 GPA, an approved MT/CLS program with a 2.8 GPA, and/or is a child, grandchild or sibling of clinical laboratory professionals may apply for the scholarships offered at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. Dr. John J. Mingeback Memorial Scholarship

Easter Seals Hawaii Foundation

Ida Foreman Fleisher Fund Scholarship
Ida Foreman Fleisher Fund - Administered by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, the Foreman Fleisher fund was established in memory of his mother Ida Fleisher. The fund provides scholarships for the purpose of permitting women, preferably Jewish, to obtain professional educations. Grant distributions are administered by a local bank and customarily sent directly to the student's school to be used for tuition. Deadline: May 15th. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation - Undergraduate Transfer Program
This award is for Undergraduate students planning to attend a full time Graduate School program . The maximum award for this scholarship is $50,000. James B. Pearson Fellowship Award

Jerman-Cahoon Student Scholarship
Students entering into Radiological Sciences may apply for a scholarship sponsored by the American Society of RadiologicTechnologists. This scholarship is awarded annually to U.S. citizens, U.S. national or permanent resident students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or a B average in radiological sciences core curriculum. National Institutes of Health Undergraduate Scholarship
The NIH Undergraduate Scholarship Program offers competitive scholarships to KUMC students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral and social science health-related research. Occupational Therapy Scholarship

Royce Osborn Minority Student Scholarship
Minority students entering into entry- level radiological science programs provided by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the ASRT Education and Research Foundation. This scholarship is awarded annually to U.S. citizens, U.S. national or permanent resident students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or a B average in radiological sciences core curriculum. Varian Radiation Therapy Advancement Scholarship
Up to 19 scholarships of $5,000 each are awarded annually for radiation therapists (including medical dosimetrists and radiation therapy educators) attending a certificate, bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree program to further their career in the radiation therapy field. Army ROTC Nurse Scholarships
Whether you're a college-bound high school student or already attending a college or university, Army ROTC has scholarships available. Scholarships are awarded based on a student's merit and grades, not financial need. Students should contact Army ROTC prior to the start of their Junior year in college. Army ROTC scholarships consist of:
- Two-, three-, and four-year scholarship options based on the time remaining to complete your degree
- Full-tuition scholarships
- The option for room and board in place of tuition, if you should qualify

Baker Trust Scholarship
Baker Trust located in LaCrosse, KS is interested in assisting persons who are already Registered Nurses in completing the BSN or MS degrees in nursing and in encouraging those persons to remain in Western Kansas in order to provide quality nursing care to citizens of that region. Persons must live in Kansas west of Highway 81 in order to be eligible to be considered. Applications are accepted each semester by the School of Nursing from currently enrolled students. Students must be enrolled in 6 credits during the semesters in which they receive Baker Trust funds. Nancy Whalen Foundation Scholarship
KUMC nursing students who are enrolled as a junior or senior in the BSN program or who are licensed registered nurses enrolled in a BSN completion program are eligible for this scholarship. Applicants must reside in the greater Kansas City Metropolitan area and maintain a 3.0 grade point average. Deadline is June 1.
National Black Nurses Association Scholarship
Applicant must be currently enrolled in a nursing program and in good scholastic standing at the time of application. Navy Nurse Corps
KUMC nursing students pursuing a bachelor degree are eligible to receive this award with the obligation to serve four years of active duty in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps upon graduation. For more information, call (800) 327-NAVY.
Nursing Services Scholarship
KUMC nursing students who are pursuing a career in Kansas are eligible for this award. Students must be enrolled full-time at KUMC. Students interested in applying must complete the FAFSA, complete the Financial Aid Sources for Kansas Students Application along with a $10 fee found at www.kansasregents.org, complete the scholarship application, and obtain sponsorship from a medical provider for whom they want to work. Deadline is May 1.
Providence Saint John Foundation

Soroptimist Women's Opportunity Awards ProgramThis scholarship is to give women the resources they need to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects. Eligible applicants must be women who provide the primary financial support for their families and who are enrolled in or have been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program. Trinity Lutheran Hospital Foundation Nursing Scholarship
The Trinity Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Scholarship fund was established to assist those pursuing a career in nursing (such as undergraduate, advanced degree, etc.) who need financial assistance.
Additionally, any student who receives a Trinity Lutheran School of Nursing Scholarship is automatically considered for the LA Hollinger MD scholarship. Charley Wootan Grant Program
$5 million is available for qualified students to help pay for college. TG's Board of Directors allocated $4 million to be awarded to students from Texas, and the remaining $1 million to students residing in other states. Dr. Alma S. Adams Scholarship for Outreach and Health Communications to Reduce Tobacco Use Among Priority Populations
The scholarship, named for founding Legacy board member, Dr. Alma S. Adams will award two $5,000 scholarships to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States. The awards will be granted on a competitive basis for the following: a) a record of commitment to community service on behalf of an underserved community, preferably related to tobacco prevention and/or control and b) the best use of the visual arts, media, creative writing or other creative endeavor to convey culturally appropriate health messages aimed at raising awareness of tobacco's harmful impact. Genevieve Edmee Lenz Guldner Kansas University Medical Center Scholarship
The students eligible for assistance shall be KUMC students with a demonstrated need for financial assistance. First priority will be given to students who have graduated from high school in Barton County, Missouri. Second priority shall be given to students who have graduated from high school in Southwest Missouri. The qualifying students may be undergraduate or graduate students. The recipient must maintain full time status and keep a minimum 3.0 grade point average (or equivalent). Health Professions Scholarship
This scholarship provides financial assistance to American Indian and/or Alaska Native student enrolled full or part-time pursuing a course of study in specific health professions. Hispanic College Fund
The Hispanic College Fund Scholars Program maintains many scholarship programs which can be researched at their website http://scholarships.hispanicfund.org/applications/. Each program has different requirements and deadlines. Students must complete the online applications, so that the HCF will be able to match with a scholarship program which should fit students' interests. Please note: HCF only accepts online applications. No paper applications are available. Deadlines vary according to program.
Hispanic Scholarship Program
A $1,000-$2,500 scholarship awarded to a KUMC student of Hispanic heritage, in an undergraduate or graduate program, and a full-time student. Applicant must maintain a minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA and have completed 12 units or credits at an U.S. accredited institution. Mensa Education and Research Foundation is holding a scholarship essay contest. The scholarship contest is open to all students in the area who will be in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of post-secondary education in the coming year. Native Hawaiian Health Scholarship Program
The Native Hawaiian HealthScholarship Program provides financial support for Native Hawaiian students pursuing careers in selected health professions. The program's goals are to increase the number of Native Hawaiians in health professions and to improve the availability of primary and preventive care services to Native Hawaiians in the State of Hawaii. Peace Corps
This educational award allows KUMC students to be involved with the community while the U.S. Peace Corps pays a percentage of their student loan debt. Soroptimist Women's Opportunity Award
The Scroptimist Women's Opportunity Award gives women the resources they need to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects. Eligible applicants must be women who provide the primary financial support for their families and who are enrolled in or have been accepted to a vocational/ skills training program or an undergraduate degree program. Application deadline is December 15 to the address listed in the application. Award recipients will be notified between January and June. Spencer Dissertation Fellowship

3. I have received a scholarship check and it is made payable to me and KUMC. What do I do with the check and letter?
You will submit any enclosures with the check and endorse the check over to KUMC.
4. Do I have to report the scholarship I've received to the Financial Aid Office?
Yes, all financial aid recipients who are awarded scholarships are required to report other resources to the Student Financial Aid Office. Scholarship awards must be coordinated with your financial aid package.
5. How do I report the scholarships I've received?
There are many ways that you can report your scholarships. When filling out the student data form there is a section where you can list outside scholarships. You can also report your scholarships online when you accept your financial aid award through Enroll & Pay. And you can also send Student Financial Aid Office a copy of your congratulatory letter from the organization/ foundation.
