Additional Loans

The following loans are available to students to provide additional funding for education related expenses.

The following loans (except the Medical Residency/Relocation Loan) require the Office of Student Financial Aid to verify unmet need. Please contact our office before applying for any of the following loans to ensure that you are applying for the loan that best meets your need and to determine the amount you are eligible to borrow.

Alternative/ Private Loan (private loan requires school need certification unless otherwise noted)

Medical Residency/Relocation Loan (private loan only for medical students)

KU Endowment Loan (Please note that aid will be processed approximately 3-4 weeks before the disbursement of aid for the term. Applicants must also be enrolled before processing can commence. If you have questions, please contact Student Financial Aid) ***Requires co-signer if the student's annual income is less than $25,000
