Student Financial Aid


Grants, Scholarships, Loans and Work-Study are all types of financial aid.  In order to determine your eligibility for many aid sources, you will need to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on an annual basis.  The 2016-17 FAFSA will be available at starting January 1, 2016.  The priority deadline is March 1, 2016 and our School Code is 001948.  For further assistance in completing the FAFSA, please go here or contact our office at or 913-588-5170.

The last day to have applied for Summer 2016 Financial Aid was July 15. If you missed this deadline and have an emergency you would like to have considered, please contact the Student Financial Aid Office.

Federal Student Loan Rates:

Congress has passed and the President has signed the Bipartisan Student Loan Certainty Act of 2013, which ties federal student loan interest rates to financial markets. Under this Act, interest rates will be determined each June for new loans being made for the upcoming award year, which runs from July 1 to the following June 30. Each loan will have a fixed interest rate for the life of the loan.

The following table provides the interest rates for new Direct Loans disbursed on or after July 1, 2016, and before July 1, 2017. These rates will apply to all new Direct Loans disbursed during this time.
