Chris Meiers, PhD has served in his current capacity at KUMC since 2004. His current responsibilities include providing leadership and supervision to the Office of the Registrar and Admissions, serving as KUMC's executive sponsor to the student information system, coordinating the Division of Student Service's assessment projects, serving as co-advisor to the Student Governing Council, and assisting in the student ombudsman process.

Prior to his current tenure, Dr. Meiers has served administrative posts at the Univeristy of Missouri-Kansas City and Fort Hays State University.

A native of Hays, KS, Dr. Meiers received a bachelors and masters degree from FHSU and his doctoral training is in research edcuational measurement and statistics from the University of Kansas. His research is focused on quantitative measures of student satisfaction in higher education. Dr. Meiers also teaches statistics courses at KUMC for the departments of Health Information Management and Nurse Anesthesia.

Dr. Meiers has served national appointments with the Association of American Medical Collges' Group on Student Affairs in addition to serving as President of the Kansas Association of Collegiate Registrar and Admissions Officers and regional appointments with the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.
