Visiting International Student Information
The University of Kansas School of Medicine Kansas City Campus utilizes the AAMC Visiting Student Application Service, to receive visiting MD and DO student applications. For more information on VSAS, please see www.aamc.org/vsas or contact vsas@aamc.org or (202) 478-9878.
Visiting medical students may enroll in elective 1 or 2 of the eligible rotations (total of 8 weeks) at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Kansas City campus. Only those elective courses listed in the Kansas City portion of the University of Kansas School of Medicine catalog are available to visiting students provided the prerequisites are met. Visiting students will be considered only after the University of Kansas medical students have been scheduled. Eligible rotations and dates are listed in VSAS.
A COMPLETE application must be received 30 days prior to the start of the rotation in order to be considered.
For Fall 2013 applications, MD scheduling will start April 10, 2013 and DO scheduling will start May 15, 2013.
For Spring 2014 applications, MD and DO scheduling will start December 1, 2013.
