Eligible employees may receive a waiver that waives the required campus fee and the difference between resident and non-resident tuition if the student is classified as a non-resident for tuition and fee purposes in accordance with K.A.R. 88-3-9. The dependents of eligible staff may receive a waiver of the difference between non-resident and resident tuition also. Students who have GTA, GA, and RA positions receive their waivers through a separate process administered by the Graduate Studies Office.

Who is not eligible
Residents, fellows, student assistants, KUPI, and hospital employees are not eligible for this waiver. Affiliated corporation staff members (at KUMC this would be the University of Kansas Hospital Authority) with a 1.0 FTE may receive a waiver of the required campus fee only. Affilliated Corporation Staff Waivers
Full-time staff (100% appointment) of affilliated corporations (at KUMC, this would be University of Kansas Hospital Authority) may receive a waiver of campus or area fees by submitting a letter of verification of appointment from the Hospital Human Resources Office. This verification letter must be on Hospital Authority letterhead.
The form needs to be completed every semester that a student is eligible and enrolled.
Deliver the form to the Office of the Registrar by the established deadline. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline. These deadlines are published each semester on the Registrar's Calendar.
