After earning my B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, working as an Investment Executive and raising three children, I chose to pursue my fascination of the sciences.  With a foundation in biology, chemistry and physics in place, I faced the decision:  Research, Teach or Practice. 

As a learning specialist, I combine all three disciplines.  I love the challenge of coaching and empowering people to reach their full potential.   I am finishing my M.S. Ed. (with an emphasis in chemistry and physics), at Rockhurst University.   

Here in Counseling and Educational Support, we work as a team of learning specialists, psychologists, and psychiatrist to provide support for the whole person.  Nothing is more rewarding to me than seeing the look on students’ faces when a concept comes together in their minds.   Our team is ready to help you reach your personal goals.  We offer facilitated content connection and question groups to medical students, facilitated question groups to nursing students, and individual educational counseling to all students at KUMC.  KUMC students’ diverse backgrounds contribute to a vibrant and highly motivated learning environment.  

In my free time, I enjoy long walks with my husband and our dog, gardening, tennis and backpacking out West with our three teenagers.
