Cost/Eligibility

Educational Support, Writing, Career and Psychological Counseling services are paid for by student fees, State of Kansas funds, and KUMC Graduate Medical Education. Current KUMC students (on any campus or completing distance learning courses) or medical residents/fellows may access services at no additional charge.  Partners, spouses, and family members may participate in couples or family counseling with the student, resident, or fellow.

There may be charges for certain licensure board review programs, or psychological or educational testing services. Please ask a staff member if you have any questions regarding cost or eligibility of services.

Post-doctoral research fellows may pay $125 per year to access educational support, writing, and psychological counseling services.

Students in the Speech and Hearing programs who are not currently taking a course onsite at KUMC-Kansas City campus may pay the "Educational Support Fee" to access services.  This fee is $50 (fall or spring semesters) and $25 summer semester).

Students taking a KUMC approved leave of absence and having valid health insurance may pay at a rate of $50 per Fall or Spring semesters and $25 per Summer semester.
