Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program

This award is for accepted U.S. citizens in medical, nursing and health professions programs. Students receiving this award receive more than $17,000 annually for up to four years. The award pays all tuition, books, and most fees and provides a monthly stipend while attending school. For information on this, visit www.airforce.com or more information call 1-800-588-5260. Army ROTC Nurse Scholarships

Whether you're a college-bound high school student or already attending a college or university, Army ROTC has scholarships available. Scholarships are awarded based on a student's merit and grades, not financial need.  Students should contact Army ROTC prior to the start of their Junior year in college.  Army ROTC scholarships consist of:
- Two-, three-, and four-year scholarship options based on the time remaining to complete your degree
- Full-tuition scholarships
- The option for room and board in place of tuition, if you should qualify
- Additional allowances for books, fees, and living expenses.

Army Nurse Corps Association

A $3,000 scholarship per selected applicant
To qualify you must:

  • Be a nursing or anesthesia student who plans to enter a component of the US Army and are enrolled in a program not funded by a component of the US Army. Nursing or anesthesia student who has previously served in a component of the US Army.
  • Army Nurse Corps officers in a component of the US Army enrolled in a baccalaureate or graduate nursing or nurse anesthesia program not funded by a component of the US Army.
  • Army enlisted soldiers in a component of the US Army enrolled in a baccalaureate nursing program not funded by a component of the US Army.

Nursing or anesthesia students whose parent(s), spouses and/or children are or have served in a component of the US Army.

KU Wounded Warrior Scholarship

(Qualified military servicemembers, veterans, primary caregivers, and surviving spouses/children currently enrolled or admitted to KU/KUMC). KU will award a yet-to-be-determined number of scholarships, each up to $10,000, which are renewable for up to four years. The scholarship assists qualified veterans and their family members in meeting the financial challenges of pursuing their education at KU/KUMC. Details at: gmp.ku.edu/wws. Applications due May 15.

Navy Nurse Corps

The Nurse Candidate Program (NCP) is a financial assistance program for students enrolled in a baccalaureate nursing program. Upon completion of degree requirements, the student must accept a commission as a Nurse Corps (NC) officer. You may read further information here.

Health Services Collegiate Program (HSCP) Medical Service Corps

The Health Services Collegiate Program (HSCP) is designed to provide a financial incentive for students in designated health care professions to complete degree requirements and obtain a commission in Medical Service Corps. You may read further information here.

Tillman Military Scholars

(Veterans/spouses) Scholars are selected for their: educational and career ambitions; record of military service and/or community impact as a military spouse; record of personal achievement; demonstration of service to others in the community; desire to continue to serve others and make a positive impact on your community; leadership potential; and compelling, thoughtful, genuine and thorough essay question responses. VFW/Sports Clips Help A Hero Scholarship

(Retired/discharged veteran, or Active Duty, Guard, Reserve; E-5 or below). Demonstrated need for financial assistance. Scholarships of up to $5,000 per semester. Details at: http://www.vfw.org/Scholarship/. Applications due April 30.
