Thrive: A KUMC Food Pantry

As the university is reducing hours amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, the THRIVE Food Pantry will now be open only on Thursdays from 1:00-5:00 p.m.

To provide access to food and resources that promote health and allow our University to thrive.

Get Involved

Help Us Thrive

  • Donate to our KU Endowment Fund.
  • Food donations can be dropped off at the Office of Student Life, 1006 Orr Major. Arrangements for larger donations should be made by contacting us directly.
  • Purchase items from our Amazon wish list! They will be shipped directly to the pantry.

Most Needed Items

  • Canned Vegetables (< 230 mg sodium)
  • Canned Fruit (light or no syrup)
  • Canned Meats (< 480 mg sodium), including Tuna and Chicken
  • Canned Soup with Vegetables (< 230 mg sodium)
  • Cereal (hot or cold)
  • Nuts, Seeds, Nut Butters
  • Pasta, Rice, Brown Rice, Lentils, Dry Beans
  • Gluten-Free Pasta, Crackers, Breads
  • Granola Bars
  • Reusable Grocery Bags

To ensure safety, we cannot at this time accept:

    • Perishable items
    • Homemade items
    • Alcoholic beverages
    • Open or used items
    • Rusty or unlabeled cans
