Syllabus Statement

For faculty who wish to encourage students to use the Writing Center, we offer the following statement for inclusion to their course syllabi:

The Writing Center is a welcoming place—physical and virtual—where writers can get feedback on their work. It offers free tutoring on writing assignments, cover letters, personal statements, fellowship applications, proposals, dissertations, and more. It also conducts workshops, presents talks, and supports writing groups. The goal is to make students and residents more effective, confident writers by providing feedback on their work and advice on their writing process. We are located in Dykes Library, G011.
