Welcome Students:

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the Senior Coordinator of Academic Accommodations. It is the mission of The Academic Accommodations Services Office of The University of Kansas Medical Center to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified students with disabilities. All qualified students with disabilities are protected from discrimination on the basis of disability and are eligible for reasonable accommodations or modifications in the academic environment to enable them to enjoy equal access to academic programs, services, or activities.

KU Medical Center is committed to providing equal opportunities to students with disabilities. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and supports. The Office of Academic Accommodations helps to facilitate and provide equal educational access and opportunity for all members of our community. Through this collaborative effort we can make your KU Medical Center experience a more rewarding and gratifying one.

We will make every effort to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified students. We offer support services to students who have documented disabilities of a permanent or temporary nature with explanations outlining the accommodations. To qualify for services you must self-identify by registering and submitting the appropriate documentation.

Again, on behalf of KU Medical Center we want to welcome you and extend our supports to enhance your educational experience. I look forward to working with you and please do not hesitate to call if I can be of assistance.

Respectfully Submitted,

Cyn Ukoko,
Senior Coordinator of Academic Accommodations
