The above search locates articles on stem cell research through the National Library of Medicine's PubMed database, which contains over 15 million citations and is the nation's primary resource for biomedical research.

Specifically, the search focuses on articles relating to the history, economics, standards, and legislative/judicial aspects of stem cell research from 2005 forward. The search is limited to the "core clinical journals," which include 120 of the most widely-referenced titles in health care (such as JAMA and the New England Journal of Medicine). Many of these titles are available in smaller hospital libraries and all are available at Dykes Library at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
