COMPARATIVE STATISTICS

The shift away from the independent match to the integrated match appears to have run its course.

The current statistics are very similar to last two years. The match success rate remains

approximately two-thirds. There is a strong preference for matching applicants with 5 or more years

of general surgery residency experience. Those matched with less than 5 years continues to drop.
