Mentoring Program Goal
The primary goal is to provide assistance to each department with the development of their own program, or the development of mentoring websites at the departmental levels. This program developed many documents and tools combining some of the best practices found. These documents and tools can be used one of two ways: a) Mentors and Mentees may save time by downloading and using the following tools and forms developed
to help prevent reinventing the “wheel
of record keeping,” or b) in an effort to save time, individuals or department committees may wish to select their favorite documents or edit them to best fit their respective needs and purpose. Forms and tools are not a requirement of mentoring and are not expected to be turned in to the School of Medicine.
Feel free to use, download and customize to
fit your personal needs or those of the department, division
or other organization. For assistance, please contact
Marty McLaughlin mmclaughlin@kumc.edu in
the Office of Professional Development and Faculty Affairs.
