The event took place in 4024 Varnes,
SON on September 7, 2007.
The goal of the event was to unite new members of
the School of Medicine faculty (both clinical and basic science) from the previous
year group 2006-07 with those beginning brand new in the 2007-08 group, with
VIPs from the School of Medicine providing a social environment in which to
have networking opportunities. To help begin the networking each person (about
95) took turn introducing who they were, telling their history, specialties
and interests. Random seating was assigned to make sure new faculty members
from both new groups were mixed with various VIP members.
