American Council on Education offers the Department Chair Online Resource Center, which serves department and program leaders as well as the administrators who work with them. Developed with the support of the Lumina Foundation, this resource center offers articles, suggestions, bibliographies, and links to other sites of interest.
Residents as Teachers
This KUMC web page is intended to serve as an online KU resource for resident teachers to improve their teaching skills. At the University of Kansas School of Medicine, the GME Office provides a "Residents as Teachers" workshop and a Clinical Teaching Skills module on Chalk covering a wide range of clinical teaching skills and emphasizing techniques that enable residents to integrate their teaching duties into daily patient care activities. Completion of the "Residents as Teachers" workshop and the Clinical Teaching Skills module will improve residents' self-discipline, sense of professionalism, clinical learning, organizational skills, and teaching abilities.
