Application Requirements


Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)

All applicants must take the MCAT no later than the calendar year before enrollment. Scores are accepted from exams taken up to three years before enrollment. MCAT information and online registration are available by going to MCAT web site.

American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS)

All applicants must apply through AMCAS. The online application information is available by going to the AMCAS web site.

University of Kansas Supplemental Application

Upon the School's receipt of their AMCAS application data, all Kansas residents will receive information regarding the supplemental application. AMCAS applications from non-Kansas residents are screened, and supplemental application information is sent to the most desirable applicants.

Letters of Recommendation

Students who receive supplemental application information are required to submit between three and five letters of recommendation. Applicants whose premedical advisor or advising committee writes one summary letter must submit between two and four additional letters.

Personal Interviews

Invitations to interview are mailed after files are completed and reviewed. Therefore, applicants should submit all required application materials as early as possible. Each invited applicant will have two interviews.
