Stepheny Berry, MD, FACS

Trauma/Critical & Acute Care Surgery Division


Dr. Berry was born and raised in Garden City, Kansas. After High School she went to Southwestern College where she received a B.S. in Biology. She attended medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. For her general surgery training, she went to Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MI and completed a fellowship in trauma and surgical critical care at the University of Tennessee, Memphis.

Dr. Berry was the Co-Director of the Surgical/Medical ICU at Roanoke Memorial Hospital from 2010-2011. In August 2011 she came to the University of Kansas Medical Center as Assistant Professor of Surgery where she is currently a General and Trauma Surgeon. She is also the co-director of trauma. Dr. Berry enjoys working as a surgeon and is very committed to her patients.

In her "leisure time," Dr. Berry enjoys spending time with her husband, step-son, 2 dogs and cat. Dr. Berry loves to travel and is an avid KU fan.
