Prospective residents may apply during the fall of their fourth year in medical school or in their PGY1 year (preferably the former). An applicant who successfully interviews during their fourth year of medical school will be offered a position at the PGY2 level with the stipulation that they must complete the required PGY1 training program (such as a rotating or flexible internship) at KUMC or another accredited institution.

Utilizing ERAS, the Department of Radiation Oncology will notify an applicant if we would like to invite them to visit for an interview during the fall and winter.
On Match Day, applicants that have both selected the University of Kansas Medical Center Department of Radiation Oncology and who have also been selected by the department will be notified that they are successfully matched for this residency program.
