Dr. Shen received his Medical Degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, PA, in 2007. Dr. Shen is currently Chief Resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He is also currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Health Policy at Jefferson School of Population Health, Philadelphia, PA, with expected graduation in 2012. In 2011, he completed a training course entitled "Ultrasound-Guided Transperineal Brachytherapy for Early Stage Prostate Cancer" in Seattle, WA. In 2001, Dr. Shen graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University, New Haven, CT. As noted on his curriculum vitae, Dr. Shen has several scholarly publications in high impact journals and has presented at numerous conferences. Dr. Shen's areas of interest include gynecology tumors and gynecologic malignancies.
Areas of interest
My practice focuses are genitourinary, sarcoma, head and neck, gastrointestinal, CNS, lung, and gynecologic malignancies. My research focuses are in investigator initiated early phase clinical trials, prostate cancer, ways to improve quality of life for cancer patients, and immune based therapies.
