Nursing and Social Work

KU Radiation Oncology has a very talented and knowledgeable clinic staff from various medical backgrounds.

Our staff is composed of Registered Nurses, Hospital Assistants and a Licensed Social Worker that will guide you throughout your time with us at KU, both at our KUMC location and community sites. 

At KU we practice team nursing, which means nurses are teamed up with physicians to provide the highest level of individualized care to our patients. You will meet your team nurse at the time of consultation and will continue this partnership throughout the course of your radiation treatment and at follow-up visits. We are available to answer questions you may have regarding your care, provide you with information about your specific type of radiation therapy, manage any side effects you may experience, and provide emotional support to you and your family.
