Research Interests

Pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, health services research

I utilize three different albeit overlapping sets of research skills: analysis of large, observational databases; pharmacoepidemiology; and cost-effectiveness analysis. I have many years of experience with programming and analyzing administrative claims data, particularly CMS data such as Medicare and Medicaid claims. I also apply health economic evaluations to health care interventions.

Teaching

I presently teach courses on pharmacoepidemiology, cost-effectiveness and decision analysis, and public payer data analysis. In addition to didactic teaching, I have mentored a variety of professional students: PharmD, MPH, PhD, and MS students as well as K30 clinical fellows and other post-doctoral awardees.
