My teaching interests include epidemiology and evidence-based medicine. My goal is to provide students with a set of skills to conduct research and accurately and critically evaluate scientific evidence about disease treatment, prevention, prognosis, and etiology as presented in original research reports, in reviews and practice guidelines, and in debates of controversial issues within the medical community. I teach using examples and believe that active discussions create a foundation upon which an interest in lifelong learning is built.
