The majority of training is provided at the The University of Kansas Hospital and the University of Kansas Medical Center, which is a tertiary care facility in Kansas City, Kan., where experience is provided in a wide range of aesthetic and reconstructive areas. Activities at KU are centered in the Sutherland Institute on the medical center campus.
Additional surgical facilities and offices are across from the Indian Creek Campus of The University of Kansas Hospital. Residents rotate at the hospital and the new state of the art Cambridge Tower North during their first two years of training. Residents also train at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, Children's Mercy Hospital and Clinics.
The diverse nature of the patient populations seen at these various sites provides a tremendous operative experience for our residents. Operative logs confirm that all of our residents see a large volume of every type of plastic surgery procedure.
