Resident Cosmetic Clinic
A resident-run clinic with faculty oversight, the Resident Cosmetic Clinic further prepares our chief residents for practice after graduation. The clinic is held on Thursday afternoons in the Medical Pavilion, a location operated by The University of Kansas Health System. A wide range of procedures are offered based on patient desires, including but not limited to, breast augmentation, breast lift, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), body contouring (arm lift, thigh lift), liposuction, facelift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), brow lift and rhinoplasty.
During consultations, patients are provided the opportunity to discuss their aesthetic goals and concerns and are then examined by our chief residents, Dr. Clary and/or Dr. Miller. Surgical options are formulated with the assistance of a faculty mentor. If the patient elects to proceed with surgery, they are seen again, just prior to their operation, for final pre-operative planning. Visits are scheduled after surgery to assess for post-operative complications and to evaluate the outcome of the procedure.
A discount on the surgeon fee is provided for all Resident Cosmetic Clinic cases.
