The University of Kansas Department of Plastic Surgery Residency Program matches two new residents each year for the six-year integrated program.
Our faculty reviews all completed applications for the integrated program. Each application is reviewed by multiple faculty and residents evaluating the candidates academic record, their professional and personal accomplishments, their extracurricular activities and their letters of reference. Those who are invited to interview will be notified by early November; interviews are generally held from late November through mid-January.
The interview process includes an initial dinner program with an introduction by the program director followed by an opportunity to spend time with the current residents. The interview day begins with a breakfast followed by a series of scheduled interviews as well as hospital tours.
