Back pain or injury can be very limiting - especially if you aren't able to move around and enjoy daily activities at work and home.
Our Spine Rehabilitation program gives patients access to an entire multidisciplinary team to find answers and much-needed relief. This includes non-operative treatment options for patients with pain, injuries or disorders of the spine, hips and shoulders.
Spine/Pain Rehabilitation doctors work with surgeons to provide personalized, comprehensive care for these patients. Our goal is, first and foremost, to listen to our patients. We focus on each patient's concerns, and combine this knowledge with a comprehensive physical examination and a review of diagnostic tests.
Your initial evaluation may include a physical exam and additional diagnostic tests, X-rays or lab work as needed. Our spine rehab team utilizes the latest equipment and technology each step of the way. Interventions may include:
It's relief that's essential to patients who may not need surgery but do need relief. Work with the spine rehabilitation team can help you regain normal movement, improve function and decrease pain.
Patients who need more in-depth care or surgery will be referred to the Surgeons also at the Marc A. Asher Comprehensive Spine Center (located just off the lobby of The University of Kansas Hospital).
