Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit

The primary goal of the Acute Rehabilitation Unit at KUMC is to restore function in hospitalized patients. On the Unit, patients receive intensive therapy (physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech language pathology) on a regular basis. A wide variety of patients receive care on the unit, including those suffering from spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, amputations, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and musculoskeletal/orthopedic surgery.
