BS in Chemistry, Dillard University, New Orleans, LA (2014)
I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I received my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics from fair Dillard University. I completed one year of coursework toward my PhD at Tulane University School of Medicine, then I transferred to KUMC IGPBS after meeting with my current mentor Dr. Lisa Zhang. I joined Dr. Zhang's lab in the summer of 2015, and am pursuing a PhD in Pharmacology.
We are interested in elucidating the regulatory pathways and roles of nuclear receptor small heterodimer partner (SHP, NR0B2) in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
