Research Interests

The circadian system is responsible for orienting an organism's processes to the most optimal time of the day. In particular, the circadian clock is important in regulation of metabolism and energy homeostasis. My project is focused in understanding the relevance of JARID1A, a Jumonji protein that is a component of the molecular circuitry that gives rise to circadian rhythms, to the maintenance of metabolic health.
