The University of Kansas Pediatrics Residency Program is equally committed to patient care as well as to families, students, residents and each other.
An influx of new faculty, general pediatricians and subspecialists has invigorated our teaching, mentoring, research and clinical activities. Faculty and residents work together to create a learning environment that is dynamic, challenging, supportive and rewarding.
Why choose KU?
- New and innovative teaching methods complement residents' learning styles.
- Opportunities for research, international experiences and flexible rotations provide the environment to meet individual professional and personal goals.
- New facilities opened in 2011 — an outpatient clinic and inpatient EMR system — and other inpatient areas are undergoing remodeling. The Inpatient Pediatrics Unit and PICU renovation will centralize these units into a dedicated pediatrics area while the NICU renovation will allow for expansion of that busy clinical service.
- Kansas City is a wonderful city in which to live, work and raise a family. It is a playground for lovers of sports, music, theater, the arts and the great outdoors.
