Pulmonology

Physicians in the Pediatric Pulmonary Division treat children with acute as well as chronic lung diseases, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, interstitial pneumonia and other airway and lung problems.
Exercise testing: They collaborate with the KUMC pulmonary function lab in order to provide state-of-the-art lung function testing for children, testing for exercise-induced asthma and stress testing for any exercise-induced symptoms.
Sleep disorders: Pediatric Pulmonary Division also collaborates with our Sleep Disorder Center to provide evaluation and treatment for all sleep disordered breathing in infants and children including central apnea, obstructive sleep apnea and acute life threatening events
Endoscopy: Pediatric Pulmonary Physicians perform needed diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures on children in a state-of-the-art endoscopy suite at KUMC.
Neuromuscular treatment: Pediatric Pulmonary Division collaborates with other pediatric subspecialists in caring for children with neuromuscular diseases and patients who have tracheotomy tubes and are on home ventilation
