Our experts in pediatric hematology and oncology focus on excellence in diagnosing, treating and supporting children, teens or young adults with hematologic or oncologic diseases.
We address the medical and psychosocial needs of children with blood disorders and cancers and their families. Your child will receive excellent medical care and psychosocial support to help them at school, with friends, and in sports or other activities they enjoy.
Sickle cell care: Pain crises, pulmonary hypertension and hospitalizations may cause challenges to some youngsters with sickle cell disease. We help them continue the normal growth and development of childhood and adolescence.
Cancer: Some pediatric malignancies also affect young adults. Our young adult program is unique to the area, providing the same excellent oncologic diagnosis, treatment and care while affording access to all of the adult services of a large, university medical center.
