The Pathology and Laboratory Medicine participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applications are accepted through December 1. Completed applications include at least three letters of recommendation from faculty members who have worked closely with you during medical school.
Our Department requires that USMLE steps 1 and 2 have been passed. We do not have a required minimum score on steps 1 and 2, although we consider these scores in ranking applicants.
It is institutional policy that we accept only J-1 Visas. Either clinical medicine or research experience in the United States is required for all applicants. International applicants must have an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate.
Interviews are scheduled through the month of January. Interviews are arranged by invitation after applications are reviewed. Allow most of a day for an interview. The Department provides a one-night hotel stay for out-of-state invited applicants. Air fare and transportation are the responsibility of the applicant.
