Interviews are held annually in the months of October, November, and December and will occur on a Saturday. We find Saturday interviews are easiest to fit into fourth year medical students' schedules, and it allows us to focus our attention on you without the distractions of daily work.

The interview days for 2014 are: October 25, November 15 and December 6.

Kansas City is located in the center of the country and is readily accessible from Kansas City International Airport, Interstates I-70, I-35, I-29, I-49, and Amtrak.

The department provides a one-night hotel stay for out-of-state applicants at the Holiday Inn Express directly across the street from the KU Medical Center. The Holiday Inn Express provides a complimentary breakfast Saturday morning, and lunch is provided at the Hospital on your interview day.

All interviewees are also invited to dinner the Friday night preceding their interview with some of our current Pathology residents. This is not a requirement of the interview, just a nice way to mingle with some of our current residents in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Interviewees are divided into two groups for Saturday interviews. A sample schedule is below:

Friday Night (Both A and B) Saturday Group A Saturday Group B
Dinner on the Plaza; our residents will pick up any candidates staying at the hotel in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express at 6:30 PM
