Research Focus

Metastatic epithelial ovarian cancers are the most deadly of all gynecologic malignancies,with a 5-year survival < 30%. Current treatments elicit moderate tumor responses; however, most patients experience aggressive relapses and progression-free survival is less than two years. My current work involves identification of novel drug targets for existing therapeutics utilizing high throughput screening techniques. This discovery approach may elucidate therapeutics that can be rapidly repositioned for more efficacious treatment of ovarian cancer patients.
