Dr. Robert Pietak is currently a Deputy Medical Examiner at the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office (JCMEO) in Kansas City, Missouri. He began his career as a Pathology Assistant Supervisor at McMaster University Medical Center in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1984 and served as an Assistant Medical Examiner at Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office in Detroit Michigan through 2011 prior to moving to Kansas City that same year. Prior to his fellowship training, he earned his Medical Degree in Wroclow, Poland. He went on to complete a four-year residency in both clinical and anatomic pathology at the University of Kansas Medical Center, followed by a two-year residency appointment at Allegheny University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is concurrently a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
