The Clinical Molecular Oncology Laboratory at the University of Kansas Medical Center provides molecular cancer diagnoses as well as companion diagnoses, both of which are key parts of personalized medicine, to patients from the University of Kansas Medical Center, outside hospitals, and private practices. Our goal is to make personalized medicine a reality for patients through the identification of genetic or genomic alterations present in cancer. The mutation statuses of key genes in regulating cancer progression are important factors in a patient's response to anti-cancer therapies. Our group develops and provides oncology tests to help clinicians tailor the management of cancer to individual patients.
In addition, the Clinical Molecular Oncology Laboratory offers sequencing services for use in research-oriented projects. We utilize state-of-the-art instrumentation in order to meet the needs of clinicians and researchers alike. We are committed to providing outstanding quality of testing and research, as well as exceptional customer service.
This laboratory is CAP Accredited. The CAP Certification Mark is a service mark owned by CAP and is used pursuant to a license from CAP.
