Helen Gold 5k/10k Walk/Run
What: A 5k Walk/Run, 10k Run and Children's Fun Run to raise money for Parkinson's Disease Research at the University of Kansas Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Center.  This year's 5k walk is in honor of Robert Hemenway, University of Kansas Cancellor from 1995-2009.
When: September 14th

Art Classes

What: Art workshop for people with Parkinson's disease (spouses and personal assistants also welcome). There are no artistic expectations, although artists are welcome. Activities include: painting, doodling to music, stamping, printing, making collages, and, if there is interest, clay.
When: Every other Saturday from 2-4 p.m., currently scheduled dates are January 19th, February 2nd and 9th, March 9th and 30th, April 13th and 27th and May 11th.
Where: Broken Arrow School, 2704 Louisiana St., Lawrence, KS 66046
Cost: A $25 donation is requested.  This can be made in a lump sum or multiple payments.
