Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS)

The University of Kansas School of Medicine chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, sponsored by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, recognizes third year medical students and faculty who have displayed outstanding humanistic and professional behaviors and the highest standards of compassion and sensitivity in their interactions with patients, faculty, student peers, and institutional administration. Students inducted into the society will have the honor noted in the Dean's Letter and will also be recognized at graduation.

Congratulations to our new members!

The University of Kansas Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society (2012). Twenty-seven third-year medical students, five resident members and two School of Medicine faculty members from both the Kansas City campus and the Wichita campus were recognized for "demonstrated excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service" in the Gold Humanism Honor Society Induction Ceremony. The ceremony was held on April 15th at 5:00 p.m. in the School of Nursing Auditorium.
