As manager of KU Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Physical Therapy, Martin Dolphino oversees day-to-day operations of the clinic and maintains a very active schedule as one of our practicing physical therapists. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) and Certified Manual Physical Therapist CMPT).
A native of the U.K., Martin received his physical therapy degree in 1995. He also owned and operated a part-time practice in London, prior to moving to the U.S. Martin is currently working on his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is a credentialed clinical instructor and runs a regular orthopedic study group in Kansas City specializing in manual therapy.
Mr. Dolphino has been published in Foot and Ankle Specialist Journal, February 2010 (Vol 3, Issue 1) with co-author Janice Loudon, PT, Ph.D. He has presented at the five most-recent symposia run by KU Orthopedics and Sports Medicine on the topics of post-operative rehab of hip surgery; tendinopathy; lumbar spine treatment, thoracic biomechanics, and functional testing.
Martin and his wife Jenny, who met while serving as camp counselors in Minnesota, reside in Lenexa, Kansas. The couple has two sons, Jonah and Max, who are involved in gymnastics and martial arts. The entire family enjoys watching rugby.
