Foot and ankle care at KU Medical Center encompasses care for the wide spectrum of lower extremity, and foot and ankle conditions and injuries. This includes acute injuries, as well as chronic, degenerative and congenital disorders. Greg Horton, M.D., specializes in particularly complex reconstructions and has been recognized as one of the top foot and ankle specialists in the region.
Our new foot care consult service is designed to provide non-emergent foot evaluation and treatment, as well as comprehensive, routine foot care for both inpatients and outpatients. Services are provided by Greg Erb, M.D. and other members of the orthopedic staff and include nail trimming, evaluation and treatment of nail infections, routine diabetic foot care, pressure ulcers, foot wound infections; as well as evaluation for surgical indications and treatment needs.
