KU Eye CenterKU Eye: Educating tomorrow's generation ~ caring for today's

Welcome to the Department of Ophthalmology (KU Eye) at the University of Kansas Medical Center!

We offer a three-year ACGME-accredited program that has proudly graduated 149 outstanding ophthalmologists since the program began in 1946.  KU Eye Residents experience a well-rounded, intellectually stimulating education in comprehensive ophthalmology, plus the opportunity to gain experience in all subspecialty areas.

Located off the main hospital campus at 7400 State Line Road, Prairie Village, KS, we have the benefits of convenient parking and easy accessibility, while having all the resources of KUMC close-by.   Indeed, the KU Eye Miller Clinic (two-lanes and optical shop) opened earlier this year on the main campus, which means more visibility to patients and employees.  Our main clinic is 17,000 square feet, which includes 24 lanes, minor room, optical shop and testing suites.  In April 2014, we had the grand opening of the KU Eye Surgery & Laser Center, LLC, which is directly above the State Line Road clinic.  Having this ambulatory surgerycenter creates another site and opportunity for surgeries and procedures.
