Treatment Options

There are several ways of treating urinary incontinence. Our division is at the national forefront for many non-invasive state-of-the-art procedures. Treatment options include:

  • Biofeedback techniques
  • Pelvic muscle strengthening
  • Bladder electrical stimulation
  • Non-invasive office procedures
  • Collagen injections
  • Non-invasive sling procedures (same day minor surgery)
  • Interstim neurologic modifications

Treatments for pelvic prolapse include pelvic floor strengthening, vaginal pessaries (rings to hold up protruding organs), and surgical techniques. For many of our patients, we can avoid abdominal surgery and treat the problem with non-surgical treatments, office treatments or vaginal surgery. If surgery is required, our physicians have unique specialty training to handle complex pelvic surgeries.
