Dr. Carey received her medical training from University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed a two-year fellowship in benign Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and pelvic pain sanctioned by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) at the University of North Carolina. Her research interests include vulvar pain, endometriosis, risks of postoperative pain and laparoscopic surgery outcomes. Dr. Carey uses a unique multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation and treatment of gynecologic pain syndromes, including lifestyle modifications, medication management, surgical intervention, and neuromodulation techniques.
