Fellows

Juliana Bakk, M.D.

PGY-7

Dr. Juliana Bakk comes to us from the great state of Ohio.  Juliana completed her undergraduate at Wright State and medical degree at Ohio State and residency at University of Cincinnati.  She is married to Ian.  Ian is a fellow here at KU in Neurophysiology.  They have a five-year old daughter and one year old.  Juliana enjoys spending time with family, painting, calligraphy, and piano.


Alex Finlinson, M.D.

Dr. Finlinson is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah where he attended the University of Utah and earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration.  He attended medical school in Miami, Florida at Florida International University's Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.  He is completed his residency at Mizzou - The University of Missouri in Columbia.  Outside of medicine, Dr. Finlinson loves basketball, cycling, and skiing, but above all, spending time with his wife and wrestling his busy house of four boys.


Noria McCarther, M.D.

Dr. Noria McCarther is a Kansas City native returning home for her Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, majoring in biology and chemistry with minors in French and sociology. She completed her medical degree at the University of Kansas and residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center/Case Western Reserve. She is a passionate patient advocate and her focus is on reproductive justice, birth equity, and eliminating Black maternal health disparities. She also has a particular interest in perinatal palliative care, periviable birth, and fetal loss.

Noria enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, finding the best pho and ramen spots, and listening to true crime podcasts.
