The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center offers a four-week rotation for fourth-year medical students from KU and other medical schools through the Visiting Student Application Service.
The VSAS system for the Department of Neurosurgery at KU Medical Center opens in mid-March. Students interested in applying to the neurosurgery sub-internship/externship through VSAS should contact Margaret Minea, residency program coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 913-588-6119 at their earliest convenience. Applicants are welcome and encouraged to contact Ms. Minea before the system opens so the department can anticipate applications and assist with scheduling.
Visiting students rotate at the KU Hospital, spending time on the cranial and spine services. During the rotation, students will have the opportunity to participate in the operating room, clinics, interventional suites, ICU and floor care, academic conferences and more.
