The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center offers a four-week rotation for fourth-year medical students from KU and other medical schools through the Visiting Student Application Service.
Visiting students rotate at the KU Hospital, spending time on the cranial and spine services. During the rotation, students will have the opportunity to participate in the operating room, clinics, interventional suites, ICU and floor care, academic conferences and more.
Residents who apply to the neurosurgery sub-internship/externship through VSAS should also contact Margaret Minea, residency program coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 913-588-6119 so the department can anticipate applications and assist with any scheduling issues.
For questions and more information, review the VSAS FAQs and contact the residency program coordinator.
