Awake Craniotomy for Brain Tumors

Amber flew to the University of Kansas Hospital from Liberal, Kansas, ahead of a heavy snowstorm, to consult with neurosurgeons regarding several brain tumors related to a 10 year battle with melanoma.  During the storm, using awake techniques to monitor the vital parts of her brain that moved her hand and leg, Dr. Paul Camarata removed the tumors so she could regain her strength.
